Made in Movember
Movember is an annual campaign raising funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer and men’s mental health. Mo Bros grow a moustache for the 30 days of Movember to spark a conversation and raise funds.
It all started with two friends in Melbourne talking their mates into growing a Mo. Inspired by a friend’s mother who was fundraising for breast cancer, they decided to make the campaign about men’s health and prostate cancer. They designed rules and guidelines for Movember (which are still in place today). From 30 Mo Bros in Melbourne, Australia in 2003 to 4 million Mos by 2013, Movember has become a global movement that is changing the face of men’s health.
You can get involved as a Mo Bro by growing a Mo yourself and raise funds, as a Mo Sista by raising awareness and funds for men’s health, at your workplace and in your community. For event ideas, please see the Movember website.
