Kiss Goodbye to MS

| May 10, 2013

An initiative of MS Australia, Kiss Goodbye to MS calls on people with multiple sclerosis (MS), their friends, family and colleagues to raise funds for vital research into a cure of the disease. During the month of May, MS Australia asks everyone to wear red lipstick, dare others to go red and share the message with special Kiss Goodbye to MS events throughout Australia.

Kiss Goodbye to MS funds support services for people living with MS and research into the cause, cure and better treatments. An estimated 23,000 people in Australia have MS. It affects three times as many women as men, and the gap is widening.

Being the most common disease of the central nervous system in young adults, it is usually diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40. Symptoms of MS include fatigue and chronic pain, impaired mobility and vision and – in severe cases – partial or complete paralysis.
