Give happy, live happy
National Volunteer Week (NVW) is celebrated from 9 to 15 May 2016. It’s a week to acknowledge the generous contribution and commitment of all volunteers to our communities.
With the theme Give Happy, Live Happy, introduced in 2015, Volunteering Australia continues to celebrate and explore the research that shows volunteers live happier and healthier lives.
During National Volunteer Week thousands of events are held across the country, including thank you breakfasts, morning teas and sausage sizzles as well as open days, awards ceremonies, street parades, garden parties and movie nights. You can find a list of events and more information here.
You can also stay up to date on social media – on twitter @VolunteeringAus and #NVW2016, and on Facebook.
Open Forum is an interactive policy discussion website hosted and moderated by Global Access Partners (GAP).
