Be brave and shave
Everyone is invited to get sponsored to shave their hair between 13-16 March and help people with blood cancer. If you are not quite brave enough, you can always colour your hair.
Today, 31 Australians will be given the devastating news that they have leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or a related blood disorder. These blood cancers can affect anyone, of any age, at any time. They can’t be prevented and because treatment usually lasts longer than for other cancers, there’s a greater impact on emotional, physical and financial aspects of life.
When you get sponsored to shave or colour your hair, you’ll help to reduce the impact of blood cancer by supporting the Leukaemia Foundation’s important work – supporting families through free emotional and practical services, and investing in research to find cures.
Events are happening all across Australia.
